White Tennis Skirt
I have been searching high and low all throughout 2020 for the perfect tennis skirt that wasn’t actually a tennis skirt, large enough to accommodate my curves with the perfect pleats. To be fair, I did love playing tennis growing up and have always wanted to wear cute tennis outfits, but my fear of chafing always got to me. I wish I could tell my younger, more active self to just wear the outfits because I was going to chafe with other outfits anyway. lol. I ordered a pleated skirt from ASOS but I couldn’t even sit down in it. I found this white pleated skirt at Shein, which I haven’t purchased from in years (and try not to with their track record), but I’m really happy with the skirt.
Cable Knit Sweater Set
The cable knit sweater set is from River Island, and I purchased it through ASOS since they were running a promotion at the time. The set is the loveliest shade of pink but I’ll have to have the straps altered because they keep falling down. The matching sweater sets are all over the internet right now, and I remember seeing some really cute options at Zara last S/S season so I’m hoping there will be more cute pastel sets to come this S/S. I think this sweater set would be cute with jeans, a satin slip skirt for work, any and every thing really…
Pink and Pearl Accessories
Going with the preppy tennis theme, I went with pearl accessories I purchased from H&M a couple of years ago, earrings from an Audrey Leighton Vintage drop, and an anklet from Boutique Minimaliste (one of the Nicole Ballardini collections). I never realized how much pearl accessories would become an absolute wardrobe staple for me – you can style them minimally or go all out like I did with this outfit. I brought the look together with my Polly Pocket shoes aka the Gucci rubber slide sandal in pink, which I’ll be doing a separate post on as the TikTok video I made on them went viral and sparked loads of questions about the fit of the shoe.
