Hi lovelies! It’s Margarita Monday, which I totally just made up… but when you’re through reading this post, you’ll be ready to run out to Bartaco 😉 They launched their first ever #bartacosecret cocktail last Wednesday, which happened to be National Margarita Day. This cocktail boasts a smoky mezcal, bartaco branded Libélula tequila, house-made chai syrup, fresh lime juice, a pinch of salt, and star anise garnish.
When I first heard of the new #bartacosecret, I thought ‘margaritas? YES! Chai? Err… I love it, but in a cocktail…?’ — don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone if you had the same reaction. If you’ve ever had one of those spicy margaritas, the Chai Mezcalita is comparable to it, only better. The chai twist is subtle and bartaco gets it just right in their recipe, making the Mezcalita the best thing you never knew you needed. I always boast about their regular fruity margaritas, but you can put those on the back burner for now while you try their Chai Mezcalita.
I decided to try my favorite tacos (chicken and cauliflower) with lettuce wraps instead of the tortilla, and they were still just as great, without the extra guilt! For dessert, I was going to get the chocolate gelato, but they were all out, so I tried the spiced chocolate pudding. It sounds like something that would come out hot, but it’s not – it just feels warm because of the spices. It’s a good warm. I would definitely recommend the pudding to chocolate lovers! I also had to snap a picture of Peter’s super cute mani with his mint chip gelato.
Once again, bartaco nailed it with their ninth #bartacosecret menu item. It won’t be on the menu, but all of the servers know about the Chai Mezcalita so don’t hesitate to ask for it as soon as you’re seated! They also have the short braised rib taco from their last #bartacosecret campaign available. Thank you for having me again, bartaco! I’ll leave you all with some outfit pictures featuring a last minute ensemble I put together at Target.
