Dear Reader, I regret to inform you that with the start of the new social season, my entire personality is Bridgerton… again. LOL. With the release of Bridgerton Season 2, I’ve officially moved back into the Bridergtonverse, and today I have a Bridgerton-inspired spring outfit for you!
I’m almost finished with the second season of Bridgerton, and although I loved the first season, I think I love this one even more. As a woman of South Asian descent, I am LIVING for the Sharma sisters and the desi representation intertwined in the lives of the Bridgerton family. I’m not a fashion history expert, so I’ll spare you the think piece, but I am obsessed with the jewel tones and pastels on the Sharma sisters in addition to the other nods to their Indian heritage. One of my favorite scenes this season is the one where Kate is oiling Edwina’s hair. Now, let’s get on with the Bridgerton-inspired spring outfit.
It may come as a surprise to no one that I’ve had the Head in the Clouds Ritz Gown from Selkie for nearly two years now and was tired of it hanging in my closet. What better time to pull it out than for a Bridgerton-inspired spring outfit?
I paired the Ritz Gown with a jewelry set that I bought in NYC (off-Broadway) years ago to go with my Indian outfits for family events after I noticed that the Sharma sisters wore a lot of the necklace/earring sets that would typically be paired with them. I love that they wore jhumkas with their tiaras and gowns! No Bridgerton-inspired spring outfit is complete without a pair of gloves, so I wore my pair of white elbow-length gloves and scrunched them down because… Florida. I also decided to pair the outfit with my pointy-toed slingback kitten heels from Zara, a shoe that I have in multiple colors.
