If you haven’t seen The Honeymoon Tour, you’re missing out. We all know that she can sing, but on Thursday night, I realized that Ariana Grande was born to perform. I love that you could see all of the little details she put into the tour, all the way down to the way the light-up cat ears were synchronized to her music. Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the concert as well as what I wore!
When I heard that Ariana’s opening act was Rixton, I was prepared to just get to the concert late because I wasn’t really interested in seeing them. I actually got there in time to see Rixton perform a few songs, and I am so glad that I got to see them. Their songs are catchy and they can work a crowd really well, so I will definitely be keeping my eyes (ears?) on them in the future. They’re also British, and just about everyone knows how I feel about British boy bands…
Ariana’s set list was well executed in my opinion. She performed all of her most well-received songs as well as a few slow songs. One of my favorite things about the show was how much involvement went on with her band and dancers; while Ariana was changing, she gave them the opportunity to highlight their talents. I also liked the visuals a lot – she used the music video introductions for songs like “Break Free” and “One Last Time”, and I think it could’ve been a disaster, but it worked for her. The video cameos from Big Sean and Childish Gambino were very welcome surprises. The section I was anticipating the most was the Mi.Mu glove section (YouTube the video of Ariana playing with hers if you haven’t heard of them), and Ariana did not disappoint! She did mess up at one point, but she’s so adorable that you can’t help but look past it. The hidden gem of the show was “All My Love” (a Major Lazer collab), which I actually hadn’t heard until then, and I can’t stop wondering what type of rock I’ve been living under. Ariana’s vocals were on point, as usual, and although she’s not the best dancer, she performed very well! I took dance classes for many years and I doubt I could do a bunch of different routines in five inch Louboutins every night for a couple of months. She looked like she was having so much fun on stage with her dancers which made everyone else have fun. I should also probably mention that “Be My Baby” looked like a scene from Magic Mike.
All of Ariana’s outfits were dazzling and I will definitely find a way to incorporate them into my spring wardrobe. The thing I love about Ariana is that she wears what she wants regardless of what other people think. Uncomfortable with the fact that she doesn’t wear pants? Welp, she’s not sorry ’bout it, she’ll wear her cute little bodysuits anyways. Tired of her cat ears and signature half up-do? Too bad. They’re not going anywhere unless Ari says so. Her props matched her outfits, the most beautiful prop being the chandelier she came out on for “Right There”. The cloud she ‘floated’ out on was really cool too. I wanted my concert outfit to channel her flirty, feminine style, so I chose to wear a pleated camisole with jeans and pointy toed d’orsay heels. And of course, I had to wear cat ears.
The headband that I got is so cute that I’m most likely going to wear it as a real life accessory. I got the headband from the BonjourLily shop on Etsy. Lily is the sweetest girl and makes the headbands by hand. If you’ve ever wanted to rock the cat ears, you should definitely check out her shop!

Missguided is one of my new favorite online stores that I’m hoping to do a mini-haul post/review on sometime soon. J.Crew’s jeans are also a new favorite because they come in tall sizes and they fit like a glove!
Have you seen Ariana Grande on tour this year? What did you wear/are planning on wearing? Let’s chat in the comments!
