Audrey Leighton Vintage is easily one of my favorite discovered-on-Instagram brands. You may know the founder, Audrey Leighton Rogers, as ‘Frassy Audrey’ from back in the early blogging days. ALV is curated perfection, and most of the vintage finds are sourced across Europe. Audrey has lately been designing her own signature pieces, the most popular one (in my opinion) being the wrap dress. I tried to get the Autumn/Winter wrap dress most of last year and the beginning of this year, and failed; I was delighted to be able to catch the new Summer Wrap Dress.

I trust Audrey’s taste and her vision, but I have to admit that when I saw the sizing for the Summer Wrap Dress, I felt like my heart was going to fall out. The closest thing that would fit was the M/L, so I abandoned all rational thinking and went for it. I set my alarm for 3:50 AM EST and started refreshing the homepage at 3:58 AM. Once the euphoric feeling from getting a dress wore off, reality started to set in. I haven’t worn anything tagged a M/L since I was 19… what did I just do?
Thankfully, I viewed the ALV Instagram stories enough to see that Audrey featured multiple women, of all shapes and sizes in Spain wearing the dress. One of the women featured wearing the black dress was exactly my size, and that empowered me to make the decision to wake up earlier than I’ve ever woken up for anything besides a flight. I don’t think I would’ve taken the risk if I hadn’t seen the marketing.
The Summer Wrap Dress is 95% viscose and 5% elastane, with a breathable lining that is still thick enough to be forgiving. It fits like a glove! I felt confident enough to wear the dress without shapewear underneath… that’s how much I trust the lining. The dress can be tied tight or loose, and Audrey has shown it styled as a skirt. The flattering silhouette, easy to slip on construction, and versatility? We love to see it! My only regret is not buying it another color while it was still in season.
The dress is currently priced at 125 euros, and it’s completely worth the tag seeing as how it’s made with care in a small, Spanish atelier. Shipping was around 18 euros, and the total converted to around $167.69 USD. This wrap dress is a wardrobe staple for years to come, especially since I can wear it 98% of the time in Florida. While I was able to pull it off on a picnic at the park, I’m really saving this look for the Amalfi Coast… whenever that trip may be.
