Hi loves! It’s been a busy back-to-school period for me, but I went to the Ed Sheeran concert in Orlando on Tuesday. It was phenomenal and worth every penny. Ed is such a brilliant musician! Since I haven’t really had much time to get back into the groove of things since Chicago, I didn’t have that much time to put an outfit together, and the outfits that I came up with ended up not working out, so I decided to randomly mix and match separates in my closet.
I’m re-building my closet by buying basics in every color, and sticking to a somewhat neutral palette so that I can pull out a top and a bottom at the last minute and have an outfit that doesn’t look too bad. This time, I picked out a nude bodysuit and a black skirt with my new favorite jacket over it.
My bodysuit is the Cotton Spandex Jersey Tank Thong (in nude) from American Apparel, and my skirt is the Jane Slinky Ruched Side Midi Skirt from Boohoo. My shoes are the JustFab ‘Siscia’ sandals in black – I’ve blogged about the nude ones before, and I wasn’t kidding when I said I needed them in another color! Perfect concert heels, but unfortunately they’re now sold out. My statement necklace is from a random jewelry boutique in NYC (off of Broadway), and my jacket is from Forever 21 – previously linked in this post.
Moral of the story is that it’s very good to keep pieces in your closet that you can just put together at the last minute! Do you have a go-to set of clothes in your closet? Comment below!
