Hello my loves! I’m finally back to reality, but I’m still re-living spring break. Los Angeles was amazing, and I’m excited to share my trip with you over the next week or so. Today I’ll start with an outfit round-up, and then I’ll be posting about food and things to do later on.
Day One: Roaming Around The City of Angels
Dress: James Perse Skinny Tucked Tank Dress in Quarry (sold out)
Jacket: H&M Short Jacket
Sandals: Target ‘Belinda’ Sandal
Necklace: Zara (old)
This outfit was perfect for walking/dining/shopping around town. I cannot rave about the James Perse Skinny Tucked Tank Dress enough. The dress is pricy (I was able to score it on sale), but I would definitely pay full price for it. The ruching makes it easy to wear without being self-conscious, the fabric makes the dress the perfect match for hot weather, and the length makes it appropriate for almost anything. I will definitely be investing in this dress in another color as soon as it comes back in stock. You’ll notice that the Target ‘Belinda’ Sandal is my new favorite shoe 😉
Day Two: Rainy Day
Top: Aritzia Wilfred Minou Camisole (color no longer available)
Jacket: H&M Short Jacket
Jeans: American Apparel Easy Jean in Dark Wash Indigo
Necklace: BaubleBar Jennifer Y-Chain in Clear/Gold
Flats: Target Bernice Taper Toe Two Piece Flats
Wednesday was a cool, rainy day in LA. I decided to pair my Wilfred Minou Camisole from Aritzia with high waist jeans, my H&M Conscious jacket, and some flats. I ordered the camisole online on a whim during the after Christmas sale, and I am definitely pleased with it! It’s the perfect layering piece – I’m probably going to get a few more throughout the year. The American Apparel Easy Jean is probably my favorite high waist jean to pair with camisoles and crop tops. And if you’re looking for comfortable pointy toed flats, I highly recommend the ones I wore from Target. They don’t really pinch and squeeze like you would expect them to!
Day 3: Venice Beach
Bodysuit: American Apparel Cotton Spandex Jersey Halter Leotard in black
Shorts: TJMaxx
Sandals: Tory Burch Miller Sandal in black
I wanted a no-fuss beach outfit, so I went with a bodysuit and flowy shorts from TJMaxx. Later on in the evening, I threw a long cardigan from River Island over my outfit, to make it dinner appropriate. Venice Beach is a fun, colorful place, so I decided to match with fun, colorful shorts.
Day Four: Movies and Shopping at The Grove
Top: Charlotte Russe (old)
Pants: ASOS Peg Pant With Front Pleats
On my last day in LA, my best friend and I went to see Cinderella (a must-see, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t have Cinderella ranked as one of her top princesses) and shop around at The Grove. I decided to wear blue pants as a nod to the movie, and they are probably my favorite February purchase. They’re super comfortable and flattering!
I think what I love the most about LA is that I’m never overdressed. At home in Florida, I usually show up overdressed to everything, but in LA, I feel like I’m dressed just right. What did you wear over your spring break (or what are you planning on wearing)? Let’s talk in the comments section.
Stay tuned for more posts on my spring break trip!
