During the week, I usually don’t have a lot of time to get ready for school, so I’ve developed a bunch of outfit formulas to rotate through depending on the situation. When I’m going somewhere outdoorsy after class, I use the basic tee/tank + cute shorts + cute sandals + coverup cardigan/jacket formula.
Combo #1: Knotted Tank + Kimono Cardigan + Dark Denim Shorts + Bow Sandals
I started off with a very basic outfit (a white tank from Target and dark-ish wash denim shorts from J.Crew) and added those metallic bow sandals (also from Target) and a kimono cardigan from Nordstrom Rack to add interest to the outfit. Putting some basics together with one or two more interesting pieces is a fool-proof way to get a quick outfit together that still looks cute.
Combo #2: Knotted Tee + Distressed Shorts + Lace-up Sandals + Bomber Jacket
Before you wonder if I’ve lost my mind wearing a bomber jacket in the middle of a Floridian summer, I brought the bomber jacket along because I went to the movies and it’s usually freezing in there. This is probably one of my new favorite outfit combinations; I paired Tomgirl shorts from American Eagle (which I love because they give a bit more coverage and there’s something I love about distressed denim) with an oversized nude t-shirt from Forema Boutique that I ended up knotting. The t-shirt is made from bamboo and it’s seriously the best t-shirt I have ever owned.
My lace-up sandals are from Lola Shoetique (found in this post) and my bomber jacket is from Topshop. I absolutely adore how khaki looks paired with nude and denim!
