2015 has been quite a year. My highlights definitely include going to LA twice and visiting Chicago; other than that, my year revolved around school and work. Although nothing life-changing happened, I’m determined to step it up in 2016. Here are some of my resolutions:
Read more (for fun)
Find the balance between working/studying and taking time out for myself
Travel to a place I’ve never been to before
Be a more consistent blogger
Get completely organized earlier in the year
Save
As for my fashion, I’ve been inspired by Scream Queens for the holidays.
For Christmas, I wore this ensemble:
I started with a basic velvet dress – I knew I wanted to wear something made of velvet on Christmas, and I found this midi dress on Missguided’s website. I absolutely love the look of (faux) fur coats over evening dresses, and this was the perfect opportunity to pair the two. I scored the coat (also from Missguided) during ASOS’ Black Friday sale, and I was so worried that I would look like an actual gorilla in it. It fits well and isn’t too overwhelming, but I do have a pretty big & tall frame. I found lurex-looking tights at Target and designer inspired bow heels on JustFab’s website.

I hope you all have a happy New Year! As always, thanks for stopping by 🙂
