Bartaco has done it again! On National Taco Day, which was October 4th, they launched their twelfth secret menu item, the Lamb Barbacoa taco. I was invited to try the new #bartacosecret and I wanted to share my thoughts with you all.
This new taco is described as “succulent, slow-cooked lamb, drizzled with bartaco’s-own habanero sauce, and topped with pickled onion. The marinated lamb packs bold flavors of adobo and other seasonal spices, while the habanero-pickled onion keeps the heat to remind us of summer.”
Let me just say that the description above is SPOT ON! I actually haven’t eaten lamb in years (the only meat I really like to eat is chicken or turkey), but this taco was too good not to try. The description had me at ‘adobo.’ There is so much flavor packed into just one taco, and as a lover of seasoning, I was sold! Every bite of the Lamb Barbacoa taco left me wanting more. It’s even better with lime squeezed over the top.
I opted to wear a loose dress from Forever 21 this time, because I have a tendency to wear tight, high-waisted things to restaurants, and it never ends well for me. I was able to enjoy a handful of Lamb Barbacoa tacos, the chips with guacamole (my personal favorite), a mango margarita, some of their best-selling tacos, and coconut gelato. *Breathes*
That sounds like so much, and it was, but it was all so good! I walked in with an empty stomach so I wouldn’t be too overwhelmed. As always, bartaco is one of my favorite places to just sit down and have a good time with friends while having great food. The Lamb Barbacoa taco is there for the next couple of months, so don’t be shy – go ahead and order it on your next visit!
