Hey Lovelies! I’m excited to announce that Fall officially starts this Friday! It doesn’t mean much weather wise for me personally, but Fall is my favorite season. The smell of cinnamon and pumpkin everywhere, Halloween, college football, and the start of the holidays… that’s what I live for. hehe. Every season, I state (to no one in particular) a bunch of things that I want to do, and I rarely ever accomplish them. I wanted to share my bucket list for this Fall with you all as well as some shots of a Fall floral look!
Make bolder fashion choices.
That’s the first thing I want to do. I want to wear some fabrics, prints and patterns that I wouldn’t normally wear like vinyl, pinstripe, and houndstooth. I hope to become an expert on fearlessly mixing prints come winter. I also want to wear more colors that I tend to stay away from – AKA anything super bright. NYFW was last week and red has been such an ‘It’ color as far as street style goes. I also really want to try a suit co-ord, because every woman needs a power suit.
Travel more.
I’m trying to travel at least once a month this Fall. The trips I have in mind are places I’ve already been to, but I think getting out of the blazing Florida swamp will do me some good. Plus, I’ll actually get to bundle up in October and November! This might just be a for-the-rest-of-my-life type of thing, but it starts now.
Think outside the box for Halloween.
I want to get creative with my costume, if I have any Halloween plans at all. Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to go trick-or-treating (except for the one year my Dad made an exception), so even though I love Halloween, my costumes are either pretty lame or nice but lacking creativity. This year, I need to try harder.
Go to a pumpkin patch.
After all, what kind of Fall bucket list would this be without going to a pumpkin patch?! I’m not talking to one of those small patches where you walk over to a tarp and pick out your pumpkin. I’m talking the kind where you can go on a hay ride and have a picnic to make it an all-day affair.
Read.
I started the Summer off well with my reading, but I got super lazy along the way. I want to lead at least three (leisure) books this Fall. Bonus points if they’re supernatural/spooky/thrilling. If anyone has recommendations, let me know!
Redecorate and reorganize.
I started to remodel my bedroom, and it’s finally shaping up. However, there’s still a lot of work to do with getting rid of things I’ve been holding onto since high school. It’s that bad! I definitely want to work on redecorating my bathroom and setting up my wardrobe. It’ll be challenging with school and work in full swing, but I really want to make this work.
Get those creative juices flowing.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed a small change in my editing style. I’m obsessed with collages as of late, and I’m trying to develop more of that type of content, as well as breaking into video. I’ll be the first to admit that creativity is not something that comes easily; I’m big on math and science and everything being precise. I have no idea how I’m going to run with this sudden spark of creativity, but I’m going to find out how to keep developing it.
Develop good habits.
Okay, this is starting to sound like a New Years resolution, isn’t it? In all seriousness, it’s never too late to develop good habits. My sleep schedule has been all types of off this year, and I am on a mission to fix it. There is such a difference in how I feel when I get a good night’s rest with no electronics to distract me. I also want to keep up with the study habits I’ve (finally) developed, and get my health back on track.
I know my Fall bucket list isn’t the typical checklist type most people are used to, and that’s okay! I’m determined to have a happy and healthy Fall and I wish the same to you all. If you have anything on your Fall bucket list, feel free to leave a comment!
