Can you guys (and gals) believe that January is almost over?! Where did the time go? Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it, so I wanted to give you all some early inspiration in case you need to order anything online. If you haven’t noticed, my favorite color is pink, and that’s just about the only thing I have in common with Valentine’s Day. To be honest, I’m more than likely going to be on a coffee date with one (or all three) of my textbooks, which isn’t out of the norm for me. Either way, whether or not you have big plans, dressing up is always fun!Β Let me dissect this outfit so you can get a better idea of how and why I put it together. When I came across this skirt on Missguided’s website, it was love at first sight. I HAD to have it. The velvet drapes so beautifully, better than any of the other velvet pieces I own! I knew for a fact that I wanted to wear the pink velvet skirt with a white top. My first thought was to pair it with a white sweater, but I wanted to incorporate even more pink into the outfit for Valentine’s Day. My compromise? Tucking my favorite Wilfred camisole into the skirt, and throwing a pink faux leather jacket over it. I didn’t really care that the two shades of pink were different, I was on a roll and could not be stopped.
I wanted to tie the look together (per usual), so I wore my fluffy Stance x Rihanna socks with my first-ever pair of embellished platforms from Topshop. Before I knew it, I looked like one of the Chanels from Scream Queens. And I loved it. I obviously had to accessorize with silver, so I wore my rhinestone choker from PLT and an old favorite – my metallic Michael Kors Selma.
What’s inspiring you for Valentine’s Day?
