Hi lovelies! Hope you all had a lovely Easter! I have a few beauty posts coming up to catch you all up on what I’ve been using and trying, the first of them being a post on ULTA’s 21 Days of Beauty. This is an event that usually occurs twice a year; once in the Fall and once in Spring. This Saturday, April 2nd, is the last day of this round! There were so many steals on the calendar this time around that it was really hard not to buy anything, so I purchased some things that I’ve been wanting to try. Here’s a quick overview:
– Tarte Tartiest Clay Paint Liner (50% off at $12)
– Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil ($12)
– Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara ($10)
– Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (25% off the entire line)
It was so hard not to go to ULTA every single morning to scoop up all of the 50% off deals!
The Tarte Tartiest Clay Paint Liner is perfect for drawing cat eyes. The brush it comes with does take a little while to get used to, but the formula is great! I usually have to use gel liner + liquid liner or a black shadow to set the gel liner, but with this, my cat eye stays super dark all day. The only thing I didn’t like was the amount of product I feel like I waste per eye.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil is something I’ve been wanting to try for ages. All of my brow products are ABH, and my beloved Brow Wiz recently ran out. I was a little skeptical to try it in Granite, because I thought it would be a little too grey for me, but it lives up to its name – it’s perfect. I’ve been able to outline my brows precisely so I can fill them in lightly with ABH’s Dipbrow. It can be sharpened like a regular pencil so I expect it to last just as long, if not longer, than my Brow Wiz. Here’s an arm swatch:
Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes mascara is one of my new favorites, and I would definitely purchase it at full price. It gives me the same length as Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara does, and it doesn’t make my lashes as thick as the Too Faced mascara, but there’s zero clumping. It’s great for days when I want to highlight my eyelashes and not much else.
Last but not least, I decided to take advantage of the 25% off Mario Badescu products and try the Drying Lotion. A few of my friends and a few well-known celebrities swear by this, and I see why! I used it on all of my zits the first night I got it and they started clearing up immediately, by drying out.
These were all awesome purchases and I’m currently wondering why I played myself by trying to refrain from buying anything. Next time around, I’ll be ready to buy two of everything. It’s totally worth it! If you’re interested in checking out the calendar for this week, it’s up on ULTA.com. The website is worth checking out since there are online-only promotions in addition to what’s in store.
I’m debating on whether or not I should pick up the Tarte Maracuja Oil for $25 by Saturday.
Have you gotten anything from ULTA’s 21 Days of Beauty, or have you tried anything I mentioned? Let’s chat in the comments!
