Remember how I tried cropped flares for the first time a few months ago? I decided to just take the full plunge into the full-length vintage flares. I grabbed the AEO Denim X Cafe Hi-Rise Slim Flare from American Eagle in ‘Retro Night out’.
As you can see, I was going for a very tropical vibe. I paired the jeans with an off the shoulder crop top from Zara last year (it’s everywhere now though), the Velvet High Heel Sandals with Pearl Applique from Zara, and an embroidered belt my friend Melrose got for me from Peru!
Okay, so I cheated a little bit by getting slim flares, but… baby steps! Although I love them, they are not hot weather friendly, so it looks like I’ll have to wait until I go to NY or when autumn rolls around to rock them. They are high waisted, so it’s really easy to pair the flares with bodysuits or crop tops. Another pro is that you can wear pretty much any shoes you want with them – mules, sandals, heels, boots, anything!
