One of the highlights of my summer so far was my (early) Summer Weekend Getaway with my friend and blogger partner-in-crime, Kat. We partnered with Pieces to Peaces and Jeweled Shoes Pasha to create some fun summer looks.
The Turban Headband
The turban headband has been my headband of choice for ages, so it’s refreshing to discover new brands with prints and fabrics I haven’t seen before! The headband is knotted, resembling a turban (a cultural piece that Sikhs wear). What really drew me to Pieces to Peaces was the fact that all headbands are handmade by a group of women in Olympia, WA, and are led by the brand’s owner, Danielle Hale. Not only is Danielle super nice, all of her products are handmade in the US under fair wages without an insane price markup!
The brand also sells pet bandanas and beanies, so they cater to the whole family. My particular headband is the Baby Pink Velvet Turban Headband Wigs, and it retails for $15.99. I decided to style it with my bathing suit and coverup because I hate when my hair gets all over the place at the beach – it ends up becoming SO unmanageable and knotty. I always pack a turban headband with me on my summer trips because humidity is not my friend. Pieces to Peaces is definitely a brand to watch out for this summer!
Jeweled Sandals
If you live in Florida, like I do, jeweled sandals are an investment piece you can essentially wear year-round. If you don’t live in Florida, you definitely need a pair to bring warmth to your wardrobe! I styled the Pasha Armona sandals which are a splurge at $229, but once you learn more about the brand, you’ll realize it’s worth the price tag. All of the shoes are handmade in Indonesia with Asian stones that are similar to Swarovski crystals and genuine high-grade leather. Pasha is actually a family-owned business (named after the founding couple’s daughter), which makes the sandals even more special to me.
The Bohemia crystals on the sandals are almost blindingly gorgeous – I have received compliments on them from the moment I put them on. Pasha sells a great range of sizes from US 5 to 12, which is perfect for me because I have big feet and have a hard time finding shoes. The website recommends sizing up, but I was actually able to wear my true size. The sandals also come with a storage box unlike any regular shoebox; it reminds me of the vintage trunk my dad keeps my old dance recital costumes in. Pasha checks all of my boxes when it comes to statement sandals for the summer: high quality, attention to detail, and great fit.
