For my last ‘Spring Lookbook’ post, I’m bringing you all a dressed down, yet glamorous look. To a lot of people, this isn’t dressed down at all, but this is what I consider to be dressed down (minus the heels). This look can be styled with sandals, but I’m obsessed with ankle booties at the moment and will look for any excuse to pull out a pair 😉
Shirt: Missguided Silky Shirt Nude
Shorts: American Eagle (the ones I bought last summer that I always wear as if I don’t own any other shorts)
Booties: Lola Shoetique ‘Koko‘ in Taupe
Earrings: Lace by Tanaya (see my first lookbook post for details)
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this enough, but I love silk. It makes everything look so classic and put together. The only drawback to the fabric is that it’s not ideal to clean, and a long sleeved silk shirt in Florida can pretty much only be worn for two weeks out of the year. That being said, this silky/satin lovechild shirt from Missguided is a great alternative. Looks like silk/satin, but it’s way easier to clean! Unfortunately, the shirt is no longer on the website, but they might restock in the future since it was a popular item. The ankle booties are Balmain inspired; the gold hardware is amazing. They take a little while to get used to, but the shoes aren’t too uncomfortable, and they’re definitely manageable to walk in.
I hope you all enjoyed my Spring Lookbook! I had a lot of fun putting these looks together, and I hope to do more seasonal lookbooks in the future. I’ll be working on a couple more beauty posts, my Instagram giveaway, and hopefully some more thoughtful content for the rest of the season. If you have any topics you’d like me to write about, questions you would like me to answer, or specific posts you would like me to do, please leave a comment or e-mail me at email@example.com, and thank you to everyone who has been showing me love along the way – your comments keep me motivated and inspired!
