Even though Spring is in full swing now, nothing will stop me from wearing black 😉 One of my favorite ways to incorporate black into my Spring style is by pairing a white/off-white silk camisole dress with a black faux leather jacket.

I love the edgy look the faux leather jacket gives the soft camisole dress. I feel like everything I’m wearing is a wardrobe staple, and it’s a really easy look to put together. I’ve been collecting silk pieces from Aritzia over the past year or so – they have huge sales twice a year that make them super affordable. Silk is one of my must-have Spring fabrics!
I added the camisole bra underneath instead of a regular one to play with different textures. I’ll let you all in on a little secret – I was terrified to buy hoops that big, but these hoops from Lace by Tanaya are everything! Since my accessories (mainly my earrings) were pretty big, I decided to wrap everything up with single-sole strappy sandals and a black choker. Yes, those single-sole strappy sandals. The ones that I bought in two different colors last Spring and decided to wear with everything. And as of late, chokers are my favorite accessory to tie ensembles together with – they can really make or break an outfit. (If you want a post on my favorite chokers/where to get them, let me know!)
Naturally, this outfit is only slightly impractical…it’s already way too hot to wear a faux (or real) leather jacket outside, so that’s why the jacket is strategically placed on me. But if you’re up North or in an area that actually has a Spring, you can appreciate the outfit in its entirety.
Hope you all like this look, and hope you have a great month of April!
