Plaid has been having a moment for the past two years. I posted about the Glen Plaid Power Suit in early 2018, but my love for plaid has grown exponentially since then. I recently came across a Gray Plaid Blazer Dress on the Missguided website. I knew from the moment I saw it that it was going to end up in my wardrobe and on my blog!
I think my favorite thing about the plaid blazer dress is that you can make it look like an office look for the 90’s, or you can have a night out with the girls in it. I styled it with my sock booties, but it would also look amazing with thigh-high, pointy-toed leather boots or chunky sneakers.
To me, the plaid blazer dress is a neutral and a classic that can be accessorized to fit the era. I paired the dress with a fanny pack and tiny sunglasses, but I would definitely rock it with a black Gucci logo belt if I had one. I’ve even toyed around with pairing the dress with a gold chain belt.
I look forward to styling the dress differently in the future, maybe swapping out the accessories I have on here with a beret, layer some more necklaces, or add some brooches to the collar. The possibilities are endless, really!
And if you’re wondering about the photo location, these pictures were taken at the Mansur Gavriel Café in Los Angeles. We arrived shortly after the café opened for the day, and were the first ones there. Their avocado toast was amazing; I really love the spices they used to season the avocado. I would definitely go there again!
Let me know how you would style the plaid blazer dress in the comments below!
