Jacquemus Le Chiquito Moyen/Top-Handle Bag

We’re not even halfway through March and here I am with my purchase of the month. I was looking for a high-end white/cream bag and had been eyeing the Jacquemus Le Chiquito bag when I laid my eyes on this pink beauty. The bag is called Le Chiquito Moyen on the Jacquemus website, but I purchased it as the Le Chiquito top-handle bag on Farfetch. Keep reading for all the details!

Product Description/Pricing

The Le Chiquito Moyen bag is 100% leather with a single circular top handle, logo plaque, and foldover top with magnetic fastening. It also comes with an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap so you can wear the bag crossbody. Since I’m 5’9″ and a half, I adjusted the strap to be its full length otherwise it comes up at an odd place on my torso. I’ll be posting pictures of how the bag looks on as a crossbody on Instagram in the next week or so (and have already posted it on my story- check the ‘Style’ highlights), but I’m not mad at it. The height of the bag is 5.5 inches and the width is 7.1 inches. I purchased the bag for around $600 (duty/taxes and shipping included) with a Farfetch coupon code, but it looks like the price has jumped astronomically. You should be able to find it at its original retail price of $630 on the Jacquemus website.

Although I absolutely love the bag and am so happy with this somewhat impulse purchase, I don’t think I’d pay more than $700 for it.

First Impression

I was stunned as I took the bag out of its packaging. It doesn’t come with much– just the Jacquemus dustbag. The pink is electric! I do feel like I have to be careful with where I put my bag and how I’m handling it because it looks like the leather could stain easily; I ended up ordering Apple Garde to spray for protection before I take the bag out again. Kudos to those with white Jacquemus Le Chiquito bags.

I was a bit hesitant to wear the bag crossbody because of my height and the top-handle, but I got used to it pretty quickly. As for what fits in the bag, I can comfortably fit my lip products of the day, hand sanitizer, car keys, and a card case with extra room to stash my mask in while eating. I can technically fit my iPhone 12 Pro in there with no case, but I feel like it might stretch out the leather so I won’t be keeping my phone in there. It would also have to be the only thing in my bag.

The bottom line: The Jacquemus Le Chiquito Moyen bag is stunning and perfect for the Spring/Summer season. It’s also the perfect size– I personally wouldn’t purchase a bag smaller than this one.
