Holiday season is officially here! I got the opportunity to partner with Universal Orlando Resort to let you lovelies in on this year’s holiday fun, which lasts until January 6th, 2019.
Universal Studios Florida
It looks like Christmas has begun at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. The festive décor makes strolling through Diagon Alley much more magical, especially when the weather allows for hot butterbeer and wearing your house robes. There are also holiday drinks and treats as well as live entertainment; Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees have a special new show just in time for Christmas.
Diagon Alley was one of my first stops at Universal Studios, because my favorite ride in the park is Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. If you’re a fan of the franchise, you definitely won’t want to miss that ride!
Universal also has their own Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s occurring daily, with a special visit from Santa Claus himself. The park takes on a whole new personality for the holidays, and to top it all off, the iconic Mannheim Steamroller will be back for live performances throughout the season.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Visiting Islands of Adventure is a MUST when visiting Universal Orlando Resort; I don’t know about you, but I always try my best to make it to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure during my trip. The action and thrill rides really make the park live up to its title.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter continues in Hogsmeade, which is only a short train ride away from Diagon Alley on the Hogwarts Express. In addition to having festive décor and live entertainment, a little extra magic happens during The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle nightly, from dusk to park close. You’ll see Hogwarts Castle like you’ve never seen it before!
And last, but not least, one of the most iconic Christmas happenings is right at Islands of Adventure; The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite holiday movies, so this is one of the most exciting offerings to me. You can join The Grinch for a classic retelling of the story and photo ops at Seuss Landing, which shares all of the holiday cheer Who-ville has to offer. There’s even an extra The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast (separately ticketed) to combine two of my favorite holiday feels… The Grinch and food! 😉
Between Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, there is so much Christmas spirit, joay, and fun in the air. The fun doesn’t stop there, though, each of the hotels at Universal Orlando Resort has their own holiday cheer on display. Please share any tips you have for enjoying the Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort in the comments below!
