I recently took a trip to Tampa and Clearwater, Florida. Going to Clearwater at least once every summer is a tradition for my friends and I, but this time, I wanted to try something new as far as food goes. My friend and I decided to head to Oxford Exchange in Tampa before heading to the beach. I didn’t want to have to pack a lot, so I chose an outfit that would easily transition from a classy brunch to the beach.
Both outfits are made up of very basic pieces; my monokini from Target (last year), longline vest from Forever 21 (sold out), high waist shorts from River Island (old), shoes from Target, and bag from Express (both linked in previous posts) are all in color-coordinating, neutral colors that can transition into basically any and everything. My black tank top, a key piece in my ‘brunch’ outfit, is a (very comfy) muscle tank from J.Crew.
Wearing monokinis as bodysuits/tops are kind-of ‘in’ right now, and it’s a very easy way to add interest to some plain denim shorts or a black skirt. I love how the longline vest complements the rest of the outfit while also providing a little bit of more coverage since there are side cutouts in the swimsuit.
As for Oxford Exchange, I want to live there. Forever. There’s a gift store on one end and a book store on the other, with a variety of great food and coffee available in the middle. Here are some of my favorite Instagram pictures from my daycation:
Now that summer has begun, what do you plan on wearing to transition from brunch to beach? Leave me a comment below! xx
