Hello lovelies! Exams have officially started at school, so I won’t be able to post as much as I would like to. Fall is right around the corner, though, so I want to share a few things I’ll be using a lot this season.
First up are a few things from Sephora and MAC: Bobbi Brown Highlight Powder in Bronze Glow (from Sephora), MAC 286 blending brush, MAC lip pencil in Stripdown, MAC lipglass in Oyster Glow, and MAC Vamplify in Tuned In.
The Bobbi Brown highlight is actually not bronze on me, but it’s a stunning shade nonetheless. The packaging is gorgeous, and it’s currently on Sephora as ‘Limited Edition,’ so if you missed out on Bronze Glow the first time, here’s another chance! The MAC products I got recently are my new favorites. I finally bought the MAC 286 blending brush, which is absolutely amazing. Stripdown is a nice nude lip pencil on me that I can wear alone or pair with Creme D’Nude lipstick and Oyster Girl lipglass. The lipglass is a bit sticky, but I love the shimmer that comes with it – it adds a little extra sparkle to nude lips. The best product they’ve put out recently, in my opinion, is the Vamplify collection. It’s limited edition, so you should definitely get as many as you want before it’s too late. The glosses come in gorgeous colors, and it’s not sticky at all. There are also a bunch of ingredients in it to help lock in moisture, which will come in handy during the winter. I managed to snag the shade Tuned In after going to three different MAC counters, as it’s sold out online. It’s a nice ‘mid-tone rosey nude’ as described by MAC, and it looks a lot like Whirl. MAC needs to make these permanent!
Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics
One of the most talked about palettes in the last month or so is the Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette, sold by BH Cosmetics. Carli Bybel is one of my favorite beauty/fashion bloggers, so of course, I was really excited for her palette to be released! There are ten neutral eyeshadows and four highlighters for only $12.50, which is why the palette sold out within the first day of sales. It’s a great everyday palette at an even better price. BH Cosmetics is a favorite of a lot of makeup gurus, but to be completely honest, the only thing I love is their cheek products. I prefer the pigmentation of Morphe and Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows… as you can see, the highlighters are way more pigmented on me than the shadows are. Don’t let that stop you from purchasing this palette though, it’s the perfect everyday fall palette!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette
It’s no secret that ABH is one of my favorite brands. I have a pretty good collection of her shadows, so when this palette first came out, I thought that I would be able to avoid it. Nope. These are the perfect fall shades, and what I love most about Anastasia’s palettes is that one of them is all you’ll ever need while traveling – you can do neutral looks as well as bold looks with just one palette. This is also limited edition, and has been sold out at my local ULTA, Macy’s Impulse (both of them), and Sephora stores for a while, so I had to order this from her website. No regrets! I already have Morocco, Noir, and Pink Champagne, but the other colors were just too beautiful for me to pass up.
Last but not least, here’s a look I did using the Carli Bybel palette as well as MAC Whirl lipstick, Whirl lip pencil, and Vamplify in Tuned In on my lips:
I hope you enjoyed my fall makeup picks! What makeup will you be using this fall?
