Hi lovelies! The last trip of my summer was to Las Vegas for a weekend, and what a weekend it was! Although I didn’t get to do everything I want to because I was sick for most of the trip, I did get to step out in this red-hot number from Shein.
If you locate Vegas on the map, you’ll see it is a desert. Dry heat, blazing temperatures, all that jazz. I’ve only ever been to Vegas in the fall and winter, so this was a whole new venture for me. Of course, my biggest question was what to wear. I was recently sent over this dress to review from Shein, an international online retailer that I’ve seen on Instagram here and there.
Without knowing a whole lot about the company, I accepted the collaboration so I could see for myself what they are all about. Let’s start with shipping – since my dress was being shipped from outside of the US, I was worried that I wouldn’t receive my packing before leaving for Vegas. I was so wrong! My package arrived safely and promptly.
I know it’s a gamble to order from an online retailer that is new to you, but what I really like about Shein is that tons of people leave reviews on their clothing, and their reviews are actually so helpful. I used both the size chart and customer reviews to order a size L in this dress, and it ended up being a near perfect fit. There’s a little gapping in the bust area, but the buttons didn’t pop off while I was wearing the dress, so it was a win in my book.
The dress itself, the Flower Print Button Front Drawstring Waist High Low Ruffle Dress, is so… easy, breezy, beautiful, CoverGirl. Lol, really! I tried wearing leggings to dinner in Vegas on my first night and I thought I was going to melt into a puddle immediately. I would definitely recommend sticking to loose fabrics and avoiding polyester/spandex, especially in dark colors. The Shein dress saved my vacation!
(Disclaimer: Although this dress was sent c/o Shein, all opinions are 100% my own.)
Have you ever tried Shein? What are your thoughts?
